Coming Up Soon

Welcome to Anvil Arts

Anvil Arts is the largest performing arts organisation in Hampshire, and runs The Anvil, The Haymarket and The Forge in Basingstoke.

Autumn at Anvil Arts is packed with good things. At The Anvil, the stunning voices of Naturally 7 have to be heard to be believed, there's guitar magic from John Williams, amazing footage from NASA with the Houston Symphony, and we celebrate Kenny Wheeler's 80th and Howard Shelley's 60th birthdays. Fantastic flamenco from Paco Pena, Ludovico Einaudi solo and the Brubeck brothers keep the excitement going until this year's pantomime Sleeping Beauty.

At The Haymarket enjoy wide-ranging one-night performances from Dean Friedman and others, and young children will love the stage version of the classic tale Guess How Much I Love You. We welcome Simon Ward and Susan Penhaligon in The Madness of George III, and enjoy Agatha Christie spoof Murdered to Death before our own production of Oh What A Lovely War. Bonnets are at the ready in a stage version of Cranford, while our Christmas show is the ever-popular The Wind in the Willows.

The Forge programme brings more great emerging artists to Basingstoke, including the extraordinary Krystle Warren, Muntu Valdo, and jazz rockers Get the Blessing. Also, don't miss Christine Tobin when she presents a re-working of songs from Carole King's album Tapestry, along with pianist Liam Noble.

We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Assistant. Please click here for more information.
