Join the amazing 13- and 14-year olds of the National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain as they introduce your family to their instruments through Benjamin Britten’s piece Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, and Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
Catherine Arlidge will present a tour of the orchestra, and you’ll hear directly from NCO’s young performers as they share their love for playing and the music featured. The concert will also include music from Toy Story and Harry Potter, as well as a spectacular feat of percussion skill and timing - Ed Arngeziano’s Stinkin’ Garbage played on tin dustbins.
In the orchestra's final performance following their spring residential of rehearsals, creative sessions and more, expect to be dazzled by remarkable young musicians.
If your little ones want to learn more about the music, book your tickets for the Pre-Concert Percussion Workshop to explore the fun of drums!
