
David Gilbrook
David has appeared for Tabs Productions in Who Killed "Agatha" Christie?, Wait Until Dark, Murder With Love, Anybody For Murder, House Guest, Arsenic and Old Lace, Jekyll & Hyde, The Gentle Hook, Sweet Revenge, Wyrd Sisters, Lords and Ladies, Marie Lloyd and the Music Hall Murder, The Fancy Man, and It's a Wonderful Life. He has also designed the sound for most of Tabs' productions over the last two decades.
Since training at the Webber Douglas Academy, other work has included The Royal National Theatre's The Wind in the Willows at the Old Vic and on tour, Far From The Madding Crowd and Arabian Nights at the Watermill Theatre, Newbury, A Christmas Carol at the Nuffield, Southampton, and tours including The Ripper Files, The Eleventh Hour, The Signalman, and Raffles for Rumpus Theatre Company. He has also appeared in many pantomimes for Imagine Theatre and the Belgrade, Coventry.
More recently, David has toured in Father Brown – The Murderer in the Mirror, The Signalman, and as Major Petkoff in Arms and the Man for Rumpus Theatre Company, and in the Nottingham Theatre Royal, Thriller Season in Murdered to Death. He was last seen at The Haymarket for Tabs in Who Killed “Agatha” Christie?
A skilled sound designer, David has designed sound for most of Tabs' and Rumpus' productions. He has recently designed the sound for Wise Owl Theatre Company's tours of The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland and Mr Toad, for both of which he also composed the music.
A regular pantomime performer, his roles have included Baron Hardup, Alderman Fitzwarren, Beauty's Dad (several times), and most recently, King Ferdinand in Sleeping Beauty at the Plaza Theatre Stockport.
He first appeared at the Haymarket in Horseshoe Theatre Company's 1985 rep season – in Lark Rise & Candleford, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Another Country, and Macbeth. He has returned many times since on tour with Tabs and Rumpus.
