Touki means journey in Wolof, the mother tongue of griot Amadou Diagne

Amadou and French-American musical wanderer Cory Seznec have been collaborating for the last 10 years, creating their music that focuses on climate change, environmental activism, and spiritual matters.

Their work weaves together West African fables, personal stories, and the challenges facing both developing and western countries. This is music that asks ecological, spiritual, and political questions.

As they navigate the crosscurrents of our complex world, Touki understands that the voyage itself is the destination.

A scintillating sequel to Ali Farka Touré & Ry Cooder’s Talking Timbuktu
Rolling Stone
A subtle and fresh fusion that is further boosted by Seznec’s voice, a dextrous, resonant drawl that brings out the colour of his songs
